I help missions get heard.

I'm Vince Freeman, the creative director behind Damascus. I help mission-driven leaders turn their work into stories that move people to act.

I've spent my career communicating transformation. Before Damascus, I worked in marketing for Feeding San Diego and spent nearly a decade at Rock Church, one of the largest churches in California, in young adult, online, and visual media pastor roles.

The job was the same in every seat: help people see what's possible and take the next step toward it.

Damascus is where that work continues.

Why Damascus Exists

Most leaders running mission-driven organizations are stretched thin in the work itself. You're serving people, holding the vision together, keeping the doors open. In the middle of all that, the work of telling your story rarely gets the attention it deserves.

That's the gap Damascus exists to close.

I lead creative strategy and direction for nonprofits, ministries, and mission-driven founders. We work in story-driven frameworks because story is how human beings understand change. The frameworks are tools. The work is creative clarity.

How We Work

Strategy before craft. No production happens until the message is clear. The frameworks come first.

You are the hero. We're the guide, not the star. Every engagement is built around your story, your audience, and the people you serve.

One creative lead, every time. You always know who's doing the work. I lead strategy and direction on every engagement. Production is handled by trusted collaborators when needed.

Beyond Damascus

I also speak and write on story, identity, and the moments that change a life. That work shapes everything Damascus does.

You don't get to help other people tell their story until you've wrestled with your own.
